The Chevron Moss Stitch
Description
The Chevron Moss Stitch uses Knit & Purl stitches to create chevrons from individual moss stitches.
The pattern is pretty straight-forward, and is great for adding a bit more variety and texture to projects instead of using the humble stockinette stitch.
Looking to get started, well lets move on to the instructions...
Instructions
Cast on any multiple of eight stitches plus one for your project.
For the first row, keep repeating the same four stitch pattern of purling one, then knitting three until you hit the end of the row.
The second-row begins by knitting one, then purling five, before knitting one and purling one. Keep repeating this eight stitch pattern until you reach the end of the row.
The third row entirely consists of an eight stitch pattern; begin by knitting two, then purling one, knit three, purl one and finally knit one. Again, keep repeating this across the full row.
The fourth and final row starts out by purling two, knit one, purl one, knit one, then purl three. Keep repeating this until you reach the end of the row.
Once you have completed row four, continue repeating rows 1-4 until you have the desired size.
